| Domestic flights: Some security checks at
airport not allow to carry knives, scissors, lighters,
batteries, best to put them in your checked baggage. |
| Money: The Indian currency is the Rupee. The
rupee notes are in denominations of Rs 1000, Rs 500, Rs.
100, Rs 50, Rs 20, Rs 10 Rs 5 and Rs 2 There are coins
of Rs 5, 2 and 1. Traveler Cheques and credit cards are
widely accepted in India. There are bank counters inside
the terminals and money can be changed easily at the
prevailing rates and get encashment certificates. |
| Left over rupees: you can change in to
foreign currency at International Airport departure
lounge and must produce encashment certificate. |
Cameras & Electrical Equipment: India has
220volts and round pin plugs. Adaptors for square pin
should be brought with you. Check if your mobile phone
will work – needs Dual band inside. Health Insurance:
Make sure that you have adequate health insurance.
